My Online Shopping Nightmare: Scammed & Ignored! 😤
Let me warn you about my terrible online shopping experience; it was the most frustrating I've had in a long time, not just for glasses, but any product or service. I was given no visibility into my order status, just constant reassurances to "allow another 1-2 business days for an update" that never came, nor did the product I paid for. This complete lack of honest communication and the feeling of being robbed of my money compelled me to contact customer service directly, hoping for a resolution.
Customer: I'm calling about order #12345. It's been weeks, and I still haven't received my glasses. The tracking shows it shipped, but DHL and USPS both say they never received the package. CS Rep: I understand your frustration, and I apologize for the delay. Let me pull up your order for you. Can you please confirm the order number again? Customer: Yes, it's #12345. I’ve called multiple times, and I keep getting conflicting information, or told "not to worry, please allow another 1-2 business days for an update." This is ridiculous, I just want my money back. CS Rep: I see here it's marked as shipped. I understand how frustrating it is when updates are not consistent. I can escalate this immediately to our Delivery team to investigate the tracking discrepancy and confirm the package's whereabouts. Customer: You'll send it to the 'Delivery team'? That's what I was told last time! They've already lied to me just to avoid escalation. I want a refund now. I shouldn't have to file a dispute with PayPal to get my money back for a product I never received. CS Rep: I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the conflicting information you've received. While I can't process a direct refund from this department right now, I can certainly open a refund request based on the delivery issue. It typically takes 7-10 business days once approved.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
